Spitfire Mk I, 1/144, Revell Lodela
One of the most beautiful Spitfire models was the one produced by Revell Lodela in 1/144 in the seventies, the Boxart is from Ikematsu, the instructions were a simple drawing on the back of the Boxart, which included an exploded view of the model, along with to a simple camouflage scheme; the decals were simple, for a 65 Squadron aircraft, with the decoration that Revell repeated in all the YT-L scales, until 1979, the model included a small glass tube with glue.

Assembling a classic, Spitfire Lodela H-611
In the sixties, the H-600 series was the queen of modeling, produced by Revell on three continents, it was the most famous of its time and now the models are classic, among them, one of the most popular was the Supermarine Spitfire, the The original model was a Mk II, but over time, this series was modified, this model corresponds to the last time it was released, in Mexico, in the eighties, in a paper bag, and by then they had already been incorporated Some minor modifications, the model had been rearranged, to be injected into square branches, and a two-blade prop had been added, in order to represent an early Mk I.
This model, the Revell Lodela H-611, I assembled it straight from the box, with the original decals of the model, without any modification, remembering the old days, when I was a child and I was more interested in having my model finished soon, than finishing it calmly, but that it would be spectacular, when I still did not enjoy the patience that modeling teaches us, for a model to be very good, you need to do it calmly, despite everything, it takes me several days, just waiting for the varnish dry well 24 hours are gone. The painting is El Viejo Marino.

Spitfire Mk II, 41 Squadron
One of the most successful squadrons of the First World War, 41 Squadron participated in the biggest combats of the time and had many aces in its ranks, in the interwar period it was one of the most visible units in the RAF, providing aircraft and pilots for public events, was sent to Aden during the Abyssinian crisis, the third unit to receive Spitfires, based in Scotland at the beginning of the war, was transferred to the south during the Dunkirk evacuation, in July participated in the fighting of the Battle of Britain, based at RAF Hornchurch, rotating north to re-equip and rest, suffered 44% casualties.
MODEL: Supermarine Spitfire Mk II
BRAND: Lodela
UNIT: 41 Squadron
CODES: EB-Z
SCALE: 1/72
PAINTING: El Viejo Marino
TECHNIQUE: Brush
NOTES: By some strange miracle, I recently found three Spitfires from the Optional Line for Collectors, I assembled them with modern materials, photocut for the interiors, thermoformed cockpit, paint for more exact modeling The Old Marine, all the decoration is by brush, Very useful, since two of the models did not have decals. It was quite an experience, to do something so old, to look so good.
